Night and Fire, the Strangest of Dreams

It was night for the entire dream, dark and verging on sinister, like Gotham City a bit, but not quite.

I was in school and it was ending.  I had baggies full of peanuts, and a portfolio full of nonsense.  A girl I went to high school with (in waking life) was performing experiments while another girl I went to high school with was smoking crack and cackling maniacally.  It should be noted I didn't know she was smoking crack until the first girl told me.  I had a pig, on a leash, fat and cute and pink.

Everyone was leaving and I had no ride to get back home (the school was kind of far from home, and home was Chattanooga) and everyone was leaving.  Someone was going to New Orleans so I hopped in and figured I would get a ride from there.  There were lots of people I knew that were going to be there and surely one of them would give me a ride.  I had a little money.

I got abandoned by the person I had grabbed a ride with, and then there was this little boy wandering around.  Genius little boy, about 6 or 7, with dark hair and bright blue eyes.  He was talking to me about quantum particles and explaining to me how you could manipulate things if you knew how by kissing them.  He proved this to me by placing a hand on either side of my head, and reaching up and kissing my sunglasses right over my left eye.  I took them off and they were not the pink and black little wrap-around number anymore, but Buddy Holly style, and no longer sunglasses to boot.  I tried and they turned into a faint cheetah print and we had fun doing this back and forth, but he told me they would never be the same.

Then there were some men that were looking for my pig and myself.  The little boy ran off and said he would find me later, and I ran, my pig more scared than I was, but sure of where he was going, it seemed.  He ran so fast and pulled me along so fast that I was pumping my legs just as hard as I could and felt that my feet weren't even touching the ground.  We rounded a corner, and went down a little hallway thing, and down some stairs and I heard music, orchestral music, behind a door in front of us.  The door opened and I made up something about how my pig loved classical music and they all laughed and invited us inside and we were safe from the men who were chasing us.  The orchestra began playing, but they were playing commercial jingles and I laughed.

I noticed my computer was in the room, way off to the side and there was something flashing on the screen, and suddenly Ed was there and he said it was ready!  So I looked at the screen and clicked on something and suddenly we were in Ed's car and at Krystal ordering coffee and the little boy was sitting next to my pig in the back seat, giggling and my pig snorting and having a great time.

We finally got back to Chattanooga, and there were these experiments that I was helping the little boy with, and we would sit in this massive pool while he manipulated some particle and we would wait for whatever objects we happened to have before us to react, but sometimes things would go wrong and the entire area would burst into roaring flames.  This is why we were in the pool, so we could just dive down and swim out under the flames.  Flames were all around me and the last thing I remember was seeing him underwater in the strange glow and we were grinning as we swam towards safety.
